I knew it’d be good but not THAT good. it beats the crap out of the first one and that’s really saying something. It was probably as close to perfection as a movie can possibly get and you absolutely need to see it.

including (but not remotely limited to) Barbie. They are advertising here because their actors are on strike and will not promote their products.
Barbie is not a struck work. It is okay to reblog barbie content. It’s done and finished. Going to premiers for it is crossing the line. But going to the regular ass movie is not.
Read me and read me good: not seeing Barbie is a great way to show execs that we don’t care about writers and actors.
Let me say that again: going to see Barbie is GOOD for the strike. Many people who WORKED on barbie are striking. They probably have not been paid yet.
The unions HAVE NOT asked us to picket the movie. Just the premier.

I believe it to be coming from a good place but avoiding works that are NOT being struck is genuinely harmful to the cause.
Also, the Barbie movie has been advertised on tumblr for a while now…waaaaay before the SAG-AFTRA strike was even being talked about (at least publicly). Idk if I was seeing official ads for it or if it was fan content before the writers’ strike started too…

i’m not sure how many dsmp fans realize just how much fan music is out there. like we all know derivakat and cg5’s stuff, and yeah it’s fantastic but there is so much more
precious jewel amor has so many dsmp songs with the most heart-wrenching lyrics i’ve ever heard and beautiful music to accompany them. and they have music for characters that don’t always get a bunch of recognition! cbad enjoyers, try listening to savior. cPuffy has Empty and Do It Again. cNiki? You bet! try Hidden in the Depths, Nothing to Lose, or the cNiki AND cJack song, Hate (Heal). ALSO PJA uses repeating motifs across songs to show relationships between characters which just. Amazing!!!
Mizz Fish! My god, their voice is so incredible, and they have some of the most creative songs I’ve seen! Try a song detailing cRanboo’s inner monologue inside of his panic room. Or the most beautiful ballad mourning L'manburg.

I also have a playlist for all those with less than three songs, characters in this one include: Jack (2), Friend (2), Charlie (2), Purpled (2), Ponk (1), DreamXD (1), Sam Nook (1), Hannah (2), Connor (1), Punz (1 but it’s a duet w/ Purpled), and Mumza (1). I also have a playlist for fansongs that are not concretely about any one character, more the general SMP with 49 songs.

been meaning to make this post for ages but something about cTommy choosing to love animals that either actively hurt him or just cannot love him back. in minecraft you can tame birds and dogs and cats and horses and lamas and what does cTommy choose? a spider that will jump him the moment the sun sets and a cow that doesn’t know any better. do you think sam passes by his house with Fran and shakes his head when Tommy scolds shroud for trying to bite him? does he drag Fran away when her hackles raise despite agreeing with her? do you think ranboo ever silently thought how frustrating it was that Tommy couldn’t have settled for a wolf or a cat that could teleport half the journey home when he tried to retrieve Henry from the vault with Tommy? do you think dream grumbled while trying to drag Henry to said vault with a lead and some wheat, muttering about what a waste of time this all was– over a creature that wasn’t of any worth alive? do you think all of those people who tried to destroy Tommy’s house over and over got so close to killing shroud just because he was in the way and was a pest by design?
